Installing TSP under Windows 3.x
The following instructions apply to installing TSP under Windows
3.0, Windows 3.1 and Windows 3.11 (Windows for Workgroups).
REQUIREMENTS
386, 486 or Pentium PC running Windows 3.0, Windows 3.1 or Windows
3.11 for Workgroups.
TO INSTALL
- Go to the Program Manager and click on File.
- Select Run.
- If installing from drive A:, type A:SETUP. If installing from
drive B:, type B: SETUP
INSTALLATION OPTIONS
After asking for your registration information and directory
preference, the installation program will offer you three
installation options:
- Typical - Requires 6.6 MB free space. This
option installs the TSP 4.4 program files, Looking Glass, help
files, and examples.
- Compact - Requires 5.5 MB free space. This
option only installs the TSP program files and Looking Glass. It
does not install the help files or examples.
- Custom - Allows you to select which files you
want to install:
- TSP 4.4 - These are the TSP program files.
You must install these to run the program.
- Looking Glass - This is the companion
program that provides a Windows interface for running batch
files.If you do not install Looking Glass, TSP 4.4 will
run in a DOS window in the same manner as 4.3.
- Help files - These are the help files for
Looking Glass.
- Examples - These are examples of how to do
some common procedures not currently preprogrammed into TSP.
They were previously distributed on a separate diskette.
RUNNING TSP 4.4 UNDER WINDOWS 3.1
A typical installation creates a TSP 4.4 program group in the File
Manager. This group contains two icons.
- Select TSP through the Looking Glass to run
TSP with the new Windows interface.
- Select TSP 4.4 to run TSP interactively, or
if you prefer to run in a DOS window.
